OPENSPIRIT v2.5.0 - Client Libraries

The following OpenSpirit client libraries, including the MICO libraries, are provided to application developers that must use C++ compile options or compiler versions that are not compatible with the libraries included in the standard OpenSpirit developer kit installation. These libraries are provided as a convenience to our customers. They were created using the Makefiles that are included as part of the standard OpenSpirit developer kit. You can build the libraries yourself using these Makefiles if you do not see libraries below that satisfy your application's requirements. Contact support@openspirit.com if you have problems using these Makefiles.

Windows Libraries

VC++ 6.0 - 32bit using Visibroker 5.2 (16.5 MB)
Compiled with: Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0
Required compile options:
/MD /GX /Zm1000 /D WIN32 /D VISIBROKER /D _VIS_STD
/D THREAD /D ALIGNED /D STRICT
Note:
- The single threaded ORB library (orb.dll) is not supported in Visibroker 5.2. You must use the orb_r.dll. The "_r" suffix has been removed from the OpenSpirit DLLs file names. All of the OpenSpirit DLLs in this zip file were built using the orb_r.dll.
- The Visibroker windows event dispatcher class (WDispatcher) is not supported in Visibroker 5.2. See Chapter 34 of the Visibroker Developer Guide for information on migrating from using the single threaded orb.dll and the WDispatcher class to using the multi-threaded orb_r.dll. The pertinent information is at the bottom of the web page in a section titled Migrating the event loop integration (C++ Only).

Solaris Libraries

Forte 7 - 32bit using MICO 2.3.7 (29 MB)
Compiled with: CC: Forte Developer 7 C++ 5.4 2002/03/09
Required compile options:
-DMICO=1 -D_REENTRANT -DEXCEPTIONS -DSUNOS=1
-DSPARC=1 -DSOLARIS=1 -mt
Note:
- These libraries use the new iostream library and the default Forte compiler STL library, which is the Rogue Wave STL.
- These libraries should be link compatable with all object code created by Forte compiler's 5.0 and higher.

Forte 7 - 64 bit using MICO 2.3.7 (30 MB)
Compiled with: CC: Forte Developer 7 C++ 5.4 2002/03/09
Required compile options:
-DMICO=1 -D_REENTRANT -DEXCEPTIONS -DSUNOS=1
-DSPARC=1 -DSOLARIS=1 -mt -xarch=v9
Note:
- These libraries use the new iostream library and the default Forte compiler STL library, which is the Rogue Wave STL.
- These libraries should be link compatable with all object code created by Forte compiler's 5.0 and higher.
