OpenSpirit® Establishes
Asia Pacific Office
SUGAR LAND, TX - August 28, 2006 - OpenSpirit has opened a new office in the Asia Pacific region. Mike Slee, Regional Manager, joined OpenSpirit in mid August and will be responsible for direct sales and support for the region, as well as managing the existing OpenSpirit authorized agents. "We are continuing to build our infrastructure and presence in the Asia Pacific region," says Dan Piette, President and CEO of OpenSpirit. "During the past few months, we've brought on authorized agents in Indonesia and China to support a rapidly growing market. Mike has supported Asia Pacific in the area of E&P data management for nearly 20 years, and will spearhead the delivery of workflow efficiencies and data management solutions throughout the region." During his career, Mike Slee has fulfilled sales and business development roles in the geoscience industry in Jakarta, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. He formed ISA, a data management consultancy in 1996, where he managed a team of specialists focused on assisting companies around the world with their data management strategies. Mr. Slee also worked with ISS to expand their data integration business into the area of exploration.
