Assist in sales and marketing of OpenSpirit and its products and services to clients in the Europe, Africa, and CIS Region.  Individual will be posted in Paris, France. Provide the Account Teams the technical expertise to successfully win and close business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain close contact with clients in the Region and establish a rapport with clients regarding the technical capabilities of OpenSpirit. Particular focus on French and African customers
• Communicate plans relative to the Company's Product Roadmap and understand the needs of clients for input to product development
• Recommend and implement technical solutions and workflows
• Provide client training courses
• Organization of on-site meetings and "Lunch and Learns" to convey latest product information and workflows
• Promote the usage of OpenSpirit tools through active interaction at client sites
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and future developments and trends
• Assist in the use, evaluation and demonstration of OpenSpirit products
• Work independently
• Technical qualification of our business development with technical input to proposals
• Assist in the closing of business in order to grow the company
• Deliver of professional technical presentations at client sites, professional society meetings, and Trade Shows.
• Become a "Thought Leader" in the industry
• Become recognized, both internally and externally of OpenSpirit,  as a technical expert including publications in industry journals
• May write White Papers that point out the value of OpenSpirit products to the G&G, Database Management, and GIS communities in Upstream Oil & Gas
• Proactive understanding of customer issues
• Particular focus will be maintaining the revenue stream through direct client interactions. This person will have strong Exploration and Development knowledge of current G&G applications and data stores. The ideal candidate will be expected to convey OpenSpirit across G&G and IT organizations. Geophysical knowledge and experience are key in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

• French/EU Citizen
• Fluent French and English(spoken and written)
• Minimum: BS Geology or Geophysics or Information Technology

Preferred:

• 5+ years of industry experience in exploration and/or field development
• 3 years user experience in using an integrated suite of G&G applications, IT support or Database Management support
• Good practical understanding of oil company G&G workflows
• Takes a leadership role in technical application evaluations

Minimum:

• 3 years of industry experience in exploration and/or field development
• 2 year user experience in using an integrated suite of G&G applications, IT support or Database Management support
• 1 year in a customer-facing role in the services sector of the upstream oil and gas industry with an excellent track record
• Excellent writing and presentation skills in French and English
