COMMERCIALIZATION & SUPPORT ENGINEER
Seeking a Software Support and Commercialization Engineer to assist clients with technical issues and to develop, implement and document testing of technical software applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide test planning, test execution, defect tracking and reporting including follow-up and issue resolution.
- Conduct all levels of testing including: System, Integration, Component, Regression, Performance and Stress.
- Analyze product functionality and create user documentation.
- Interface with Sales, Marketing and Development to improve product quality and design.
- Provide technical support to customers by telephone, e-mail or office visits.
- Troubleshooting and finding resolutions to technical problems reported by customers
- Document problems and solutions to company knowledge base.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Computer Science or related industry discipline (BS Geology or Geophysics)
- 5+ years of industry experience in using G & G applications and data stores
- A thorough knowledge of oil industry Exploration and Production interpretative data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Needs to be able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Working knowledge of Solaris, Linux and Windows operating systems
