COMMERCIALIZATION & SUPPORT ENGINEER

Seeking a Software Support and Commercialization Engineer to assist clients with technical issues and to develop, implement and document testing of technical software applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide test planning, test execution, defect tracking and reporting including follow-up and issue resolution.
  • Conduct all levels of testing including: System, Integration, Component, Regression, Performance and Stress.
  • Analyze product functionality and create user documentation.
  • Interface with Sales, Marketing and Development to improve product quality and design.
  • Provide technical support to customers by telephone, e-mail or office visits.
  • Troubleshooting and finding resolutions to technical problems reported by customers
  • Document problems and solutions to company knowledge base.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Computer Science or related industry discipline (BS Geology or Geophysics)
  • 5+ years of industry experience in using G & G applications and data stores
  • A thorough knowledge of oil industry Exploration and Production interpretative data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Needs to be able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Working knowledge of Solaris, Linux and Windows operating systems
