PRODUCT MANAGER
Seeking a Product Manager with G&G domain experience to manage technical scope and requirements for OpenSpirit software products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage technical scope and requirements for OpenSpirit software products and assist with product roadmap.
- Demonstrate domain knowledge in the Geological & Geophysical domain specifically around data management.
- Create and maintain use cases for data management workflows based on domain knowledge and customer feedback.
- Conduct Market Analysis for assigned products with respect to market segmentation & targeting, competitive products.
- Recommend Product Pricing based on market analysis.
- Assists Marketing Director on Market Communication Plan
- Coordinate product delivery schedules liaising with the Development and Quality Assurance Team Leads.
- Assist with prioritization of product deliveries. Act as the go-to person for detail product requirements.
- Run, test, and demonstrate the software hands-on.
- Work at customer sites to resolve technical issues with software implementation as needed.
- Develop and maintain documents related to product requirements and technical specifications.
- Meet product releases dates (with development).
- Define market segmentation, product positioning, marketing collateral, demonstrations, and project status.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Track record of successful product research, development, testing, and implementation in the upstream E&P IT sector.
- Hands-on experience resolving data management issues at major E&P companies.
- Hands-on experience installing and testing software related to E&P.
- Knowledge of upstream E&P data stores including OW, GF, SMT, PPDM, etc. as well as Geotechnical applications like Petrel, Gocad, etc.
- Background in product management is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and negotiate approvals in a team environment.
- Outstanding verbal and written communications and strong relationship-building skills essential. Strong communication skills are must for the role.
- Minimum of 5-10 years experience in a data management role in the Oil & Gas sector preferably in the G&G domain.
- Undergraduate degree in Geology or Geophysics or Petroleum Engineering. A Graduate degree is desired but not required.
