Ocean-Petrel Application Adapter 2010 is available!
The Ocean-Petrel Application Adapter (OPAA) from OpenSpirit allows Petrel® users to access G&G data residing anywhere in the enterprise, enabling advanced control of interpretation workflows. Focusing on interpretation is now easier than ever before.
OPAA 2010 is compatible with Petrel 2009.2 and Petrel 2010.1 and offers seamless access to all the industry-standard project data stores, including GeoFrame, Finder, OpenWorks, PPDM, Recall, SEGY, SDE, and KINGDOM. End users can work simultaneously on multi-vendor and cross-disciplinary data stores with a simple step, without the need to learn multiple user interfaces. Petrel users can now be liberated from the time-consuming task of searching for the right data to load into Petrel.
Key Enhancements include:
- Send/Receive GIS events that include all feature attributes (may be used in conjunction with OpenSpirit ArcGIS Extension).
- Send/Receive GIS events that include simple display attributes, such as point size and color, line color and width, and polygon fill color and opacity (may be used in conjunction with OpenSpirit ArcGIS Extension 2010).
- "Classify" Petrel point and polygon objects as specified feature types and allow addition and editing of associated attributes.
- Perform multiple object export in a single dialog.
- Import to a selected, or hightlighted, folder in the Petrel tree.
- Perform Match-and-Merge on non-Petrel properties.
- Option to import wells without their associated checkshots.
- Migrate OpenSpirit data keys for markers from previous Petrel versions, or if desired, delete OpenSpirit data keys.
- When used in conjunction with OpenSpirit v3.2.2 or higher, OPAA can be run in Import Only mode, in order to restrict write-back access to OpenSpirit data stores. (v3.2.2 scheduled for release in late July)
