This one-day course combines lecture with hands-on exercises to cover the basics of the OpenSpirit Integration framework and associated set of utilities. Focus is primarily on use of the framework in E&P workflow scenarios using a variety of third-party applications and data stores.
The class environment is highly interactive and encourages participants to raise questions and issues that can be addressed during the course. Attendees will use work stations (1-2 persons per PC) to perform exercises designed to enhance their learning experience. OpenSpirit Basics is a prerequisite OpenSpirit for Administrators course.
AUDIENCE
The Basics course is geared toward E&P professionals who have started using OpenSpirit or who are about to do so, and who are looking for a comprehensive overview of the framework that will help them adapt their own workflows to the new environment.
OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course, participants will have a good understanding of:
- Use of the OpenSpirit Launcher
- Working with sessions and ProjectSets
- Data selection and viewing in the OpenSpirit viewers
- Use of optional tools (Excel Adapter, ArcGIS Extension, Scan Utility, CopySync)
- Use of OpenSpirit-enabled applications within the framework
- Use of event gateways
CLASS SIZE AND PREREQUISITES
Minimum class size is 6, maximum is 12. Prior knowledge of OpenSpirit is not required; however, participants should be familiar with operation of their OpenSpirit-enabled applications.
